I want to write a book

2022-10-10

I went to a hackathon last week, with 5 other people. We worked on an interactive space simulation experience about NASA's Parker Solar Probe. It was a game-y solution with Unity. I have a love-hate relationship with unity. I use it for a project and swear to never use it after finishing up. Yet I have come back to it again and again. What impressed me this time is that was very comfortable writing everything without looking up the docs, articles or using IntelliSense. I was also understanding almost everything unity was doing under the hood. This made me think. I picked up Unity at the transition between 4.6 and 5. And it is rather unfortunate to say, but there hasn't been a singular quality book written in Bengali for unity even today. Maybe I could write a book about unity. For beginners, in my own language. I have been spending this weekend trying to figure out where to start and where to end. Here's what I've scraped so far:

I am currently thinking of the target demographic to be people who want to get a taste of game development or unity and also people who are getting into programming in general. This is the reason why I have left more complex topics untouched - hoping the curious mind will seek them out at will.
